Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 12, 2026
The short version
We do not build identity-linked search histories, we do not sell or syndicate query data, and we do not front-run searches. Domain queries exist to be answered, counted for rate limiting, and analyzed in aggregate — nothing more.
What we collect
- Query logs: the search term, endpoint, result count, and access tier — without your identity attached. Used for aggregate product analytics and abuse detection.
- Rate-limit counters: a daily request count keyed to a hashed API key or an IP-derived bucket, retained briefly for limit enforcement.
- API key records: if you request a key, your email address and the key's SHA-256 hash. We never store the raw key.
- Analytics: privacy-respecting product analytics on the website (page views, feature usage).
What we never do
- Sell, rent, or share individual search queries with any third party.
- Register, reserve, or broker domains that users have searched for.
- Link anonymous searches to identities.
Third parties
Availability checks are answered by querying public registry RDAP endpoints and public DNS resolvers; those infrastructures see the domain being checked (as they must, to answer) but receive no information about you. Registrar links take you to third-party sites governed by their own policies.
Your rights
Email hello@domainfind.ai to revoke an API key or request deletion of your key record. We honor applicable data-protection rights under GDPR, CCPA, and similar regimes.
